

The winner for the first Citywide Cleanup Challenge is the
South West Ward!

On Saturday, October 12th, 2024 we encourage everyone to come participate in a friendly competition between the four wards of the City of Nacogdoches. The ward that collects the most trash will be honored with a special award from KNB.

This event will bring together residents from all four wards of Nacogdoches to compete in collecting the most trash. It’s a great opportunity to show your love for our community and help make a real difference.
​
KNB encourages all residents to learn which ward they live in and participate in this event. Trash bags will be collected from 9 a.m. - noon on October 12th with the winning ward announced on KNB’s Facebook page.

Gather your friends, family, and organizations and come help make Nacogdoches a cleaner and more beautiful place!

Rules

KNB will supply gloves and bags to participants. One bag per person, maximum ten bags per group.

No household trash, furniture, tires, electronics or appliances will be accepted.

Only bags from KNB will be accepted.

Supplies Pickup

Thursday, Oct. 10 – 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at C.L. Simon Recreation Center, 1112 North St.

Friday, Oct. 11 – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at C.L. Simon Recreation Center.

Saturday, Oct. 12 – 7-9 a.m. at the SFA Commuter Lot across from William R. Johnson Coliseum on University Drive.

Where to find litter

Look for litter in your neighborhood, parks, schools, walking paths, right of ways, parking lots or creeks.

Safety first! Never put yourself in harm's way to pick up trash. Never trespass to pick up trash. Always be aware of your surroundings.
